Finding Peace in the Midst of a Health Crisis
Hello friends,
It’s a beautiful spring day here in St. George. The sun is shining, the air feels full of life—and I found myself reflecting on how far I’ve come.
There was a time when even a perfect day like this would stir something heavy in me. I’d sit in the sunshine but feel a shadow inside… because I didn’t know if I would ever truly be well.
Most days, I did my best to stay positive. I fought hard to believe in healing. But there were also days—especially on those bright, beautiful ones—when my heart would quietly sink. When the weight of chronic illness, fear, and exhaustion felt too much to carry. When hopelessness would whisper that maybe things would never change.
But I’m here to tell you: they can. They do.
I know this journey intimately. I live with a seizure disorder caused by an antibiotic-resistant infection. I’ve overcome a traumatic brain injury. I’ve navigated the pain and complexity of endometriosis and celiac disease. I’ve put Hashimoto’s into remission. And I’ve done it all while being a single mom. Healing wasn’t linear. It was layered, messy, and full of trial and error. But it happened. And it’s still happening.
Going through a health crisis can feel like the ground beneath your feet is crumbling. But even when things feel impossible, your body is still working on your behalf. The breath, the heartbeat, the quiet intelligence of your cells—all doing their best to carry you through. There is wisdom in your body, even when it’s hurting.
And if you’re worried about how your journey affects the people you love—please hear this: healing touches everyone around you. Your path, your pain, your lessons—they ripple outward.
We’re all intertwined in each other’s stories. Let go of the guilt. Let go of the shame. Your healing is not selfish—it’s sacred. When you focus on healing yourself, you offer more peace, more presence, and more love to the people in your life. This work isn’t just for you—it’s for all of us.
Finding hope doesn’t mean forcing a positive outlook. And finding peace doesn’t mean denying the pain or pretending to be okay. It means making space—somewhere deep inside—for stillness, hope, and wisdom to root. It means allowing yourself to be exactly where you are, while holding on to the belief that this moment is not the end of your story.
There are people who care. There are tools. There is help. And your healing—while unique—is absolutely possible.
So if you’re walking through your own health crisis right now, please don’t give up. Keep seeking answers. Keep listening inward. Your journey, even in its struggle, is full of purpose. It can teach you, shape you, and guide you back to yourself—and back to love.
If you're looking for support, guidance, or simply someone to walk beside you on your healing path, I offer intuitive energy work, herbal consultations, and compassionate spaceholding. You don’t have to do this alone—reach out, and let’s take the next step together.
Sending Love and Blessings,
Crystal
