The Healing Path: Embracing the unknown with love and strength

The Healing Path: Embracing the unknown with love and strength

There are moments in life when everything pauses — when time stretches out and you’re asked to see yourself, your body, your path, in a completely new way. That’s where I’ve found myself lately. What began as a continuation of a long-standing health journey has deepened into something much more — something sacred, uncomfortable, mysterious, and strangely beautiful.

I didn’t expect to be here, navigating seizures, discovering a lesion on my brain, starting new medications, and facing a swirl of uncertainty. But this isn’t just a story about symptoms and scans. It’s a story about surrender, about learning to trust what I can't yet understand, and about uncovering strength I didn’t know I had. It’s about the layers beneath the physical — the emotional, spiritual, and energetic patterns that are asking to be seen, loved, and transformed.

This is my journey — and maybe, in some way, it’s yours too.

My health journey has been unfolding quietly for a long time. The seizures actually began 11 years ago. I learned to live with them, to adapt. But recently, something shifted. The seizures became more intense...  more insistent and difficult to recover from. And in a strange way, I’m grateful. Because, as many of you who have been following me, you know, - if it weren’t for these recent episodes, we wouldn’t have discovered the lesion on my brain. And now, because we did find it, we have the chance to closely monitor it. I have hope — a deep, intuitive hope — that I’ll see it disappear one day.

For now, I’ve started on Keppra to manage the seizures. It’s been a process with its ups and downs, but I’m walking through it with open eyes and a strong heart. There still isn’t a clear diagnosis. Possibilities have been mentioned — MS, a tumor, or other theories — but nothing definitive. And oddly, I’m realizing I don’t need a name for it. That’s not what I’m truly seeking. What I want is healing. What I’m after is peace — in my body, in my mind, in my spirit.

I know something is there. I feel its presence and its effects. But I also know that how I relate to this experience matters more than any label. I want to stay rooted in the spiritual side of this path — in the symbolism, the lessons, the invitations to grow. I want this to be about transformation, not fear. About seeing the sacred in the hard stuff.

One of the wildest parts of this journey has been realizing that there are parts of me — deep, hidden parts — that are actually afraid to heal. As strange as it sounds, these parts are tied to old patterns, old beliefs about safety, control, and identity. I’ve been working with IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy to gently explore these layers of my subconscious — to meet those inner parts with compassion instead of judgment. Spiritually, I know this healing isn’t just physical. It’s emotional, energetic, ancestral. I’m learning that true healing doesn’t just mean getting "better" — it means becoming whole. And sometimes, that means facing the resistance within me that I didn’t even know was there.

Through it all, my partner — my best friend, my anchor, my love — has been by my side. We recently had a conversation that really stayed with me. He said, “If it’s not hard, it won’t be fulfilling.” He’s not afraid of the discomfort, because he sees meaning in it. He’s choosing growth over ease, fulfillment over fleeting happiness. And I’m completely with him on that. We both feel this is a chance to break old patterns, to evolve, to deepen our bond and our purpose.

Some nights, I cry. The weight of it all — the unknown, the fatigue, the fear — sometimes it spills over. And on those nights, he just holds me. No pressure to fix it, no forced positivity. Just his arms around me, steady and sure, giving me the comfort I need to keep going. I truly don’t know how I got so lucky. This would be a completely different journey without him.

This path isn’t easy. But I believe it’s meaningful. I believe it’s leading me somewhere beautiful. And I’m choosing to meet it with presence, love, and the unwavering belief that healing is not only possible — it’s already in motion.

With Love and Blessings,

Crystal 🤍
